RELEASE|February 28, 2024

State Rep. Greg Alexander, of Carsonville, today paid tribute to former state Representative Paul Muxlow, who passed away on Feb. 23 at the age of 85.

Muxlow, of Brown City, served for three terms in the Michigan House beginning in the 2011-12 legislative term. He was committed to public service, having spent 24 years on the Brown City Board of Education, the Sanilac County Independent School District Board, and others.

Muxlow was a 1956 graduate of Brown City High School and spent time in the Air National Guard. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University, a master’s degree from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, and a counseling degree from Siena Heights University.

“Paul was a steadfast champion for our region in his many years of public service and an unwavering advocate for public education and agriculture,” said Alexander, who currently serves Brown City as part of the 98th House District. “He knew our communities and what we stood for.  He will be sorely missed, and my thoughts are with his loved ones at this time.”

Alexander serves residents in portions of Lapeer, Sanilac and Tuscola counties, as well as all of Huron County.
