State Rep. Jaime Greene this week celebrated her pheasant hunting extension bill being ceremoniously signed by the governor.
House Bill 4401, which went into effect at the end of last December, removed the sunset provision on pheasant hunting in Michigan, ensuring the continuation of pheasant hunting opportunities and providing long-term certainty for hunters across the state.
“This was a win for both pheasant hunters and common-sense conservation,” said Greene (R-Richmond). “Pheasant hunting is a popular sport for hunters, and it encourages people across our state to appreciate Michigan’s natural resources and beauty. I was glad to see overwhelming bipartisan support for this effort.”
