State Rep. Jamie Thompson, of Brownstown, is inviting local residents to an upcoming office hours event on Friday, Aug. 18.
Rep. Thompson will give attendees updates on what’s going on both locally and in Lansing as she works on behalf of people throughout the 28th House District in Monroe and Wayne counties – an area that encompasses Berlin Township, Newport, South Rockwood, Rockwood, Flat Rock, Woodhaven, Brownstown Township and part of Taylor.
The event will run from 10-11 a.m. at Big Boy, located at 22100 West Road in Woodhaven. Appointments are not required.
“I look forward to meeting with people across our region,” Thompson said. “On top of helping people understand how legislation and new laws impact their families or businesses, these are great times to have a chat, get to know one another, listen to priorities and answer questions. These conversations allow me to be our voice in the Legislature. I invite anyone who is interested to attend.”
Those unable to attend can contact Rep. Thompson by phone at (517) 373-1772 or email at JamieThompson@house.mi.gov.
